Guided by Voices han anunciado un nuevo álbum, August by Cake. La placa saldrá el 7 de Abril desde el sello de Robert Pollard, Rockathon Label, y sigue el último álbum de la banda, Please Be Honest. Con 32 canciones (incluyendo una «pista cero» llamada «Bob Intro»), August by Cake marca el álbum número 100 de Pollard desde 1986 con el debut de Guided by Voices desde Forever Since Breakfast. También es el primer álbum doble de la banda.
