El vocalista Jesse Lacey ha insinuado que Brand New está a punto de culminar. El año pasado, Lacey anunció la ruptura de la banda durante un concierto en Nashville, y se creó una mercancía para la gira de este año revelando el siguiente mensaje en una polera: «Brand New, 2000-2018».
Ayer por la noche, durante un evento de su gira con Modest Mouse, Lacey reafirmó la disolución de la banda, diciendo a la audiencia, «Hemos terminado. Oh, sí, ya hemos terminado, y hace que estas noches sea más especial, así que gracias por estar aquí.
Antes de poner punto final, Brand New pasará de gira con Modest Mouse, terminado en Rio Fest Chicago, evento que se realizará entre los días 16 al 18 de septiembre en Douglas Park.
