El 25 de marzo, Elton John conmemorará el 40 º aniversario de su clásico álbum Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, que será publicado como una edición «Super Deluxe».
La colección cuenta con una versión remasterizada del álbum y demos raros, con tomas falsas extraídas de las sesiones de grabación originales. De particular interés, habrá un disco de bandas contemporáneas realizando temas John, entre los que se encuentran: Miguel, Fall Out Boy, Emeli Sandé, Hunter Hayes, Ed Sheeran, y muchos más.
Miguel lleva en el piano el éxito «Bennie and the Jets«, mientras que Fall Out Boy podrán su toque personal con «Saturday Night Alright for Fighting«. Sheeran tocará la balada «Candle in the Wind«, y Sandé aportará una versión de «All The Love Alice Girls«, y Hunter Hayes en su propia versión.
La edición Super Deluxe también viene con material exclusivo de un concierto de 1973 en el Hammersmith Odéon, en Londres, además de un documental llamado Elton John and Bernie Taupin Say Goodbye To Norma Jean and Other Things, y un hermoso libro de 100 páginas.
