Lavender Diamond (el trío de Becky Stark, Steve Gregoropoulos y Ron Regé, Jr.) escribió y produjo Now Is the Time. Tucker Martine mezcló el álbum en Flora Recording & Playback en Portland, Oregon. El disco también tiene contribuciones de Nathaniel Walcott de Bright Eyes, SASAMI, y el ex guitarrista de Red Hot Chili Peppers Josh Klinghoffer.
