The White Stripes ingresaron oficialmente al Rock & Roll Hall of Fame durante una ceremonia realizada en el Peacock Theater de Los Ángeles. El discurso de inducción estuvo a cargo de Iggy Pop, quien abrió cantando el riff de “Seven Nation Army” antes de destacar la importancia del estilo minimalista de Meg White y la versatilidad creativa de Jack White.
Jack agradeció a “tío Iggy” y comentó que Meg, ausente en la ceremonia, le pidió compartir la curiosa anécdota de cómo los animales solían observarlos cuando caminaban juntos por Detroit. El músico repasó además las influencias que guiaron al dúo, desde Loretta Lynn y Fugazi hasta The Strokes y Black Flag, para luego leer un relato poético dedicado a su excompañera de banda.
Aunque Jack White no actuó, Olivia Rodrigo y Feist interpretaron “We’re Going to Be Friends”, mientras que Twenty One Pilots versionó “Seven Nation Army”. La clase 2025 del Salón de la Fama incluyó también a Soundgarden, Bad Company, OutKast, Cyndi Lauper, Chubby Checker y Joe Cocker.
