El 7 de abril, Brian Wilson regresa con su último disco en solitario No Pier Pressure. El álbum número 11 del cantante hasta la fecha, y el primero desde el año 2011 de In the Key of Disney, ve el reencuentro con Capitol Records, el hogar original de los Beach Boys.
De acuerdo con un comunicado de prensa, No Pier Pressure fue concebido inicialmente con The Beach Boys en mente, pero «querer encontrar las voces adecuadas para completar su visión, Wilson vio una oportunidad para que finalmente lo convirtiera en su esqueleto y reclutó algunos increíbles vocalistas jóvenes que se han inspirado en su música».
Entre esas «voces correctas» se encuentra Zooey Deschanel y M. Ward de She & Him, Kacey Musgraves, Sebu Simonian de Capital Cities, Nate Ruess de Fun., y los ex compañeros de banda Beach Boys, Al Jardine, David Marks y Blondie Chaplin. Los músicos veteranos Don Was, Jim Keltner, Kenny Aronoff y Dean Parks aparecen como músicos de sesión.
No Pier Pressure estará disponible en una edición normal de 13 pistas y las ediciones de lujo de 16 pistas (digital y en CD), así como un vinilo doble de 180 gramos. A continuación te dejamos el tracklist de su formato Cd y Vinilo.
