En la celebración de su 30 aniversario, Def Jam lanzará ediciones de lujo de dos álbumes clásicos de Public Enemy, con It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back de 1988 y Fear of a Black Planet de 1990. Ambos títulos vienen con un segundo disco de material extra y ensayos escritos por el propio Questlove de The Roots y Andre Torres de Wax Poetics.
De acuerdo con un comunicado de prensa, la edición de lujo de It Takes a Nation cuenta con 13 mezclas raras, incluyendo la versión original de «No Noise» de «Bring the Noise«, versiones instrumentales de «Rebel Without A Pause» y «Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos«, y la versión de la banda sonora de «Fight the Power» de la emblemática película de Spike Lee de 1989, Do the Right Thing. También se incluye un DVD de la versión VHS DE Fight the Power…Live!, que ha estado durante mucho tiempo disponible para su compra.
Mientras tanto, la cuota de lujo de Fear of a Black Planet comprende el LP original y 18 bonus tracks, incluyendo los casi 10 minutos de duración de «Enemy Assault Vehicle Mixx (Medley)«, tres remixes de «Can’t Do Nuttin’ For Ya Man!«, y varias tomas instrumentales de «911 Is a Joke«,»Power to the People«, y «Revolutionary Generation«.
